Student Success Stories
Discover how our unique approach helps students excel in math and science.
At Chasing Aces in Middle Grade Math, we believe that learning should be both fun and effective. Our unique approach integrates Disc Golf into educational activities, making complex math and science concepts easier to grasp. Here, we highlight the success stories of students who have thrived through our innovative methods. One of our standout students, Conner, struggled with geometry before joining our program. Through our Disc Golf Math lessons, he learned to apply geometric principles in a real-world context. Conner's grades improved significantly, and he even began to enjoy math class, a subject he once dreaded. Another success story was a young man battling an seriousness illness. He couldn't participate in contact sports at school. He also struggled and found science concepts daunting. Our hands-on experiments outside, linked with Disc Golf exercises, helped him to understand scientific concepts better. His newfound confidence led to a marked improvement in his science grades and an increased interest in STEM subjects. He also joined the Disc Golf club at his school and made new friends. Teachers also benefit from our unique approach. A local middle school math teacher, was a former student of Phil's. She learned how to integrate Disc Golf into her lessons, making math more engaging for her students. The result? Phil's grandson, Hunter, was in her 8th grade math class and enjoyed learning and applying math outside from his grandfather's book, Chasing Aces. These are just a few examples of how our innovative methods are making a difference. We are committed to fostering a love for learning in every student by connecting education with real-world applications.
